An Invitation to Begin
for readers arriving for the first time...
If you’re reading this… welcome. Genuinely.
Below are the starting points of my serialized work,
written to be lived with rather than skimmed.
Begin anywhere below. Stay as long as something holds you.
May/December (17 parts)
Co-written with the brilliantly talented laurie c., the May/December Saga is a tale of Rick and Astrid, and their chance encounter one balmy night in Rio. Told through a series of letters and short stories, this is a romance where their ages don’t necessarily line up… but will they?
The Phoenix Arc (4 parts)
This is the mythical tale of the Phoenix as told in 4 parts, through story and essay. We cover all of the stages that this firebird goes through, from birth to ash and rebirth.
Rainy Day Arc (4 parts)
This storyline is very personal to me, as it involves my wife, Amelia. These stories cover a couple of rainy days not so many summers ago. Truth-based fiction brought to life.
Rainy Day Arc I: Barometer
A barometer doesn’t predict so much as register. It feels the shift and tells the truth. That’s how this started… long before the first flash, when the house takes on that quiet hush that makes doors open and the air turn soft as velvet.
Low Tide Keys (4 parts)
Jonah the piano tuner, comes to a small seaside village where Mira waits for him to show up to rescue the village music festival. Little does she know, they may just end up rescuing each other.
Stormbound (6 parts)
A storm rages through a coastal city. Tamara seeks refuge in the local observatory, and then Cristóbal shows up, also looking for shelter from the winds. While the tempest batters the coast, they learn to survive with little to no supplies, and with the prospect of being stranded for an extended period of time.
Ritual.exe (5 parts)
A tale of intimacy in the 21st century. Matt and Nikki allow themselves to be directed through a sensual encounter by an AI program. One of my personal favourites, this story covers all bases… and then some.
Take what draws you.
